This is the place where I say stuff. I promise not that it shall contain nuggets of truth, timeless wisdom, or even be at all sensical. It will most probably also not be witty and urbaine. If it is it's probably by accident. It will however be written by me, be spliced with my poetry and drawings, and it will rock. (maybe)

Poem time is now being

Hello again. How goes? I saw V for Vendetta yesterday. It was amazing. I definitely buying it when it comes out (or stealing it, whichever is more in keeping with the theme of the movie) I'm surprised there hasn't been more controversy surrounding this movie, given the current state of affairs here and in the States. Maybe it has to do with Bush's approval rating being so low.
At any rate, it was a really good flick, very relevant.

On a somewhat related note, I finally finished the poem I was working on that I kept mentioning sporadically in here. I already showed Joey the preliminary version, so here you go Joe, here's the final.

This is a house whose foundation is blood
It was built from our bodies facedown in the mud
The framework constructed from rights that you stole
The pillars and rafters are part of our soul
It sits on the land that you claimed for your own
We were helpless to stop it, how could we have known
When the fortunate few put a gun to your head
after awhile you stop counting the dead
In the name of it's glory you tore us apart
with visions of destiny filling your hearts
You built this system, each brick broke our bones
An order of graves to the rows of it's stones
A slaughtering house that is tainted with blight
It's walls dripping red but you still call it white
When it was finished you said it was good
unmindful of those on whose backs you had stood
We built this house though we never agreed
We were matyrs and slaves in the land of the free
You were the hammers and we were the nails
Who says that freedom and justice prevails

There you go hope you like it. Joey if your reading this I'm sorry I didn't hang out this past weekend.
I ended up doing my training for my new job from 9 to 4pm and then working from 5 to close at
blockbuster on Saturday. I could have maybe have done something yesterday, but truth be told I
completely forgot that we said we'd hang out last week, I only got your message last night.
We'll have to hang out this week. I'll call you tonight. Congrats on selling your house BTW.

To everyone else, take it easy and have a good week. And if you feel the need to take up arms
against an oppressive totaltitarian state, may God be with you.

Dang, that poem is rad. I'm totally finished school on April 21, possibly sooner depending on how hard it is to write my art history essay so we can totalyl get together and hang in late april. Until then. . .courage!

V for Vendetta was totally rad. I'm also buying/stealing it when it comes out. The wach-wach brothers are back in my good books after being in my bad books for Martirx 2 & 3. ULTIMO STINKERS.
